My personal journey with coaching started informally when managing teams in a large FMCG multi national. Now I look back I was managing my team more than coaching them. As a senior manger I started to study coaching, NLP and various other modalities and this opened my eyes to the amazing and profound world of coaching that led me to be doing what I passionately do today.

I always get asked what coaching is and I liken it to a partnership of assisting an individual or team to identify where they are, where they want to go and then all the magic happens in the gap in between. In a nutshell coaching is a conversation between a coach and coachee to bridge that gap by the coach asking powerful questions to empower the coachee to come up with their own answers and solutions.

People own what they co-create and involvement is key, be the all “asking’ manager not the all “telling” manager. If you want commitment then coach and if you want compliance then tell. Commitment has a lasting effect and can anchor desired behaviours.

Coaching has been around for years and dates back to sports psychology. Many different frameworks are used and at Metamorphose Consulting all our accredited coaches use tools and relevant frameworks as required depending on what comes up in the session.

Recent ICF studies concluded that 70% of people undertaking executive coaching had an improvement in work performance and 51% with improvement in team effectiveness!

A coach will challenge and empower you to come up with your own solutions by using powerful questioning, tools & techniques throughout your sessions. You will be accountable for your own actions and your coach is there to guide, challenge and assist you on whatever journey you may be embarking on.

Coaching is a relationship built on trust and is a very unique one. All sessions are non judgmental and confidential. One of our accredited coaches will collaborate with you on your success to assist you to achieve the objectives you set out prior to commencing the coaching program.

Coaching programs can consist of one on one sessions to each individual person or we can tailor a coaching program across your organisation with bi monthly team workshops to reinforce learnings and coaching culture.

We coach many mangers and leaders to coach their teams and always reinforce coaching should not be remedial. Coaching can be a formal conversation or a 5-minute “coaching on the Fly” chat to get to an outcome.
